10 Reason Why Busy Season is Great

As an auditor for a public accounting firm, the beginning of each year means it is busy season. I work on a couple of clients including The Boeing Company. I am not sure the real reasons why, but they like to file their report extremely fast. That means lots of hours in a short period of time. I think my worst week was 78 hours this year. To keep a positive note, I have created a 10 reasons why busy season is great list in no particular order.
  1. I don't have to cook - 3 meals are eaten at work daily
  2. No traffic - We arrive early, and leave late so we don't have to sit in traffic
  3. Less cleaning - I am not really home to make a mess
  4. I don't have to remember where I parked - There aren't many cars in the lot when we leave
  5. I don't need to make decisions about how I spend my free time - I don't have any
  6. Heating bill is reduced - No need to heat an empty house
  7. Grocery bill is deminished - Meals are provided by work most of the time
  8. I get to learn more about my coworkers - Perhaps too much :)
  9. I get to learn more about auditing
  10. It is over fast
Happy auditing!!

Primary Class

This year, Dusty and I have been switched to a new primary class. We must now say goodbye to my 9-10 year old kids, and tell them I love them and miss them. My new class is CTR 6-7. We have about 11 kids, most of which are girls that I had in nursery. It will be a fun group and we are really excited. We are excited to get to know them a little better.

Dog Sitting

My parent's took a last minute trip to North Carolina to see Becky and Marcus before Marcus deployed to Afganistan, so that means we get Willie for a few days. We found that this little pup loves the heat, and is a fire place hog. Can he get any closer? I think he was going to burn his fur off.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

We spent New Year's Eve with Mandee & Nathan and had a great time. Virginia, Andrew girlfriend, came up and we got to spend some time with her. She is great. I actually was still awake to ring in the new year, which really surprised me. I am usually asleep by midnight. We got home way too late, but had a great day.

The new year is a time for resolutions, and to just get a fresh start on things. Some of the things I would like to resolve to do for 2009 are listed below
  • Read my scriptures more consistently
  • Pray more consistently and more intently
  • Blog more frequently
  • Get in better shape
Lets see how I do throughout the year. :)
