May was a very busy month for us. I was looking forward to some time to clean my house, get in shape, etc. (the things I planned when I stopped working). There has been so much going on between Dr. appointments, track, seminary, being sick, and everything else, that cleaning my house has been difficult. I am making progress, it is just slower than I expected it to be. Hopefully, June will prove to be a little better, and I can get more accomplished. My goal is to have it all completed by June 21st. We will see how I do.
We did get to finish off the month with a dinner at my parents house. I got to see the Blake family again, and meet Nigel for the very first time. He is just adorable. I am so glad they are closer and we can see them more often!

Track Season
Another year of track was completed this weekend. Dusty had two kids at state in 3 events. Brianne went in Pole Vault, and Zach competed in Long Jump and Triple Jump. Brianne jumped 9' 6" which wasn't here best, but did okay. Zach was the triple jump champion this year, and earned 2nd place in the Long Jump.
The meet was fun, and it was a beautiful day. Below is a video of Brianne clearing 10' at pole vault.
I was able to attend the district meet and got to see Brianne pole vault, Dallin and Shad high jump, and the Boys 4X100 relay. Brianne earned 4th place jumping 10' earning a spot at state. Shad jumped 5'10" which tied his personal best, and Dallin jumped 6'4" earning 7th place and was the alternate at state. The 4X100 relay team was in the lead, but missed the hand off on the last transfer and didn't finish. They were all very disappointed.

Cycle Time Again
I don't think it is a secret to many that Dusty and I have been trying to have kids for the past few years. During the past we have attempted clomid (about 5 times), 2 IUI's (intra-uterine insemination) , 1 IVF (in-vitro fertilization) cycle, 2 FET (frozen embryo transfer) cycles. The first IVF cycle and the 2nd FET cycle worked and I miscarried both. The second miscarriage was very hard for me, and I can count on less than 1 hand the number of people who knew, until now. That was so devastating because they were the last embryos.
We have been extremely blessed to have insurance cover much of these procedures, and we are very grateful for that. Fertility insurance is hard to come by, so we have tried to use it effectively. We decided to try again while we had insurance at least to store embryos as the extraction and fertilization processes are very expensive.
We began the 2 month process and in May did all the wonderful shots, and appointments. The Dr.'s monitored me very carefully, and I had 6 appointments in 7 days and then had one day off and on 5/26 I had 14 eggs extracted. 9 were mature and 8 fertilized. All eight were frozen on day 1. Last time we froze 4 blastocysts at day 5.
We elected not to transfer any embryos due to the horrible experience I had last time with OHSS. This allows me a chance to get healthy before we transfer. I can still feel that my ovaries are enlarged, but that will be fixed in another week or so. Below is a picture of one of my ovaries on day 8. All the black dots are developing follicles which hold the eggs. Typically, only one big black dot would be seen, but you can see that I have many more than just 1. The follicles must measure about 18-20mm to have mature eggs. The bigger ones here I think were measuring about 10-12mm.

Memorial Day
This year, we spent Memorial Day down in Olympia with my family. We didn't do anything too exciting, but Dusty helped Dad work on the red car, and get the boat out of the garage. I helped Mom with her glass blocking project for the house. It looks awesome, but I don't have any pictures. It was a nice relaxing day which was perfect.
One of my favorite things about the lake is the ducks. Over the past few years, there is always a family of ducks that frequent my parents dock. We feed them bread every once in a while, and they are not afraid of people. The Mama duck will come and take the bread out of your hand and nibble on your fingers. Her ducklings are not quite that brave yet, but they will by the end of the year. Here are some cute pictures of the ducks down by the water.

More Wedding
As the wedding was in Utah, Andrew and Ginny wanted to have an open house up here for all the friends and family who could not be in Utah. Mandee and Marcy did most of the planning, and I went out to help prepare for two days prior to the open house on Sunday. We spent the day visiting, preparing fruits and veggies, doing flower arrangements, and the kids loved playing with Bella.
The day before the open house, Mandee's family got a puppy. They named her Finli, and she is a King Cavalier Spaniel Mix. She is just sweet and adorable.
The open house was wonderful, but we had way too much food left over! Congratulations Andrew and Ginny!

Road Trip - Continued
After the Luncheon, Dusty and I drove up to Salt Lake to meet up with my former roommate AmyLee. We were roommates for 2 years, and neighbors for an additional year. It was so great to see the family and their twin daughters are just adorable! Dusty and Doug got along really well for not really ever meeting each other (they met at their wedding reception once). We had a fabulous time hanging out and catching up. I can't wait until we can visit next time.

On Sunday, we set out for the drive home. We did pretty well driving in the day time, and it was more fun than the drive down until we got to Yakima. We were both tired, feeling like we were almost there, sick from eating too much junk food, and just down right irritable.
We made it home after one stop in Maple Valley where my family was celebrating Mother's day with Grandma Woodward. Mom and Dad had brought Bella up so we didn't have to drive down to Olympia to get her. It was nice to see my Mom on Mother's day, and Grandma and all my Aunts as well. Happy Mothers day to all of you Mothers!

Road Trip
Right after the track meet, we set out for a road trip to Utah to attend Andrew (Dusty's brother) and Virginia's Wedding. Dusty and I had not been on a long road trip since I graduated from BYU. I originally thought it would be fun. It may have been had we not started at 7:00pm. After a long day of packing and dropping off Bella for me, and work for Dusty, then a track meet for us, we started driving after a long day. Dusty began and I took over around 10:00 so Dusty could sleep. I was only able to drive about hour, and we both had to stop and sleep for a while. We struggled a bit though the night, switching a few times, but we arrived in beautiful Utah around noon.
We stayed at a WorldMark resort in Midway, UT. It was a little far from Provo/Draper where the activities were, but it was great to stay together as a family.
Dusty and I were able to go Scuba diving in the Homestead Crater. It is a huge hot spring in the middle of the mountains. The water was about 93 degrees, and it was very neat. There isn't any life to see, but it was still a good experience for me. As I had not been diving for a while, it was a good refresh course for my diving skills. pictures will come soon. I need to find the underwater camera:).
The evening we arrived, we went to a park in Springville to have a picnic dinner with Virginia's family. They were all very nice, and Andrew is lucky to have married into such a great family. We had a taco feast, with Grandma's famous homemade tortilla's and salsa. Thanks Grandma! The kids played on the playground, and we all had an enjoyable time. We then went over to the Bean Museum at BYU for a reptile show. The kids loved it, especially when they got to touch the snake.
The men kidnapped Andrew for a Bachelor night and went to see the new Star Trek movie. Dusty said it was great, but I still have yet to see it. They got back very late, and Dusty got very little sleep after driving all night. I am not sure really how he survived.
On Saturday, we met at the Draper temple and were able to see them get sealed for time and all eternity. It was a great ceremony, performed by Ginny's Grandfather. The Draper temple is the newest temple and located in the mountains overlooking the valley. It was very beautiful, and were glad to be a part of this special occasion.

After the sealing, we met up the kids and those who could not attend the ceremony and took pictures on the temple grounds. We then went to American Fork for a luncheon/reception. The food was delicious, and overall a great day!

Track Meet
I always love to attend sporting events where Dusty coaches, but my job regularly got in the way. Since I was home, I was able to attend a practice with him, and bring Bella to play outside for a bit. I also got to go a regular season home meet, and be the pole vault scorekeeper. (It isn't a very hard task :)). It was fun to see all his kids compete. Many of them achieved personal bests during the meet. Below are some of the picture from the track meet.
