I am writing this after the fact, and can't remember exactly where she was and what she was doing in April, but now at 2 yrs and 3 months, she is a handful. Here are some things we want to remember
- She has become very independent, and always saying "Alice do it".
- She knows all her colors,
- She can count to 10, but skips the number 4
- She is now talking in complete short sentences
- She loves to "sing" in sacrament meeting
- She loves her aunts uncles and cousins, and knows all of their names
- she slept in a big girl bed briefly, but had to be moved back to her crib due to a refusal to nap during the day
- the paci fairy visited our home the day after her birthday party, and she did remarkably well
- she can eat cold cereal with a spoon and rarely spills it
- she LOVES fruit and veggies. Grape tomatos are a favorite along with any kind of fruit. She also really loves burritos.
- She loves her babies, she nurses them, takes them potty, takes them in the stroller, and watches movies with them. Her favorite baby is my old Cabbage Patch doll named Barbie
- Her favorite movies are Tangled and Finding Nemo, and can now sit through them.
- She loves to color. She can also draw lines and circles
- She is still almost potty trained. We are just lacking the consistency of telling us when she needs to go.
- She is still very shy around people she doesn't know and in big groups of other children. Once she warms up though, she can be quite the ham and chatterbox.
- She still struggles to get dressed and undressed, but she wants to do it all her self. It can be very frustrating to both of us.
- She still loves books, and will often "read" them to herself. Her current favorite is "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" Others high on the list are I am a Bunny, Blue Hat, Green Hat. Click Clack 1,2,3.
- She loves her daddy, and is very good at distracting him when he is working or studying.
- She has done some mischievous things
- She is lovable, cuddly, and fiesty all at the same time.
- We love our little Alice to pieces!
Here are few pictures we have of our two year old.
