29 Weeks
I took this picture a few weeks ago when I was 29 weeks, because I didn't have any good pictures of my growing tummy. I have heard from numerous people that they think I am on the small side, and comparing to other pregnant folks, sometimes I agree. Either way, my Dr. says I am measuring just fine, so I assume Alice is still growing on track. I will have another Ultrasound in about a month.

Season Change
Most of the time, we look at season changes as the close of or beginning of a Sport. February is the end of Gymnastics, and the March is the beginning of Track.
Olympia gymnastics finished out their season 6th at Sub Districts, and 4th at the District Meet. It was a great finish for all the girls. Dusty really enjoyed the season and coaching the kids. I have not seen him get this attached to kids or team in a very long time and I am glad he enjoyed it. I think the girls learned a lot from him.
He has now transitioned into coaching Track at Kentlake. The schedule is different and it is wearing him out a little, but he is starting to adjust better and better every day. In order to get to practice on time, he has to wake up earlier and get into work much earlier. He is coaching Polevault, high jump, long jump, and triple jump.
I am sure we will have more pictures to come. It is crazy to think that Alice will be here before the next season change.

February Sales
January and February have seemed super busy. We have attended a baptism, a baby blessing, a sealing, family events, gymnastics meets. I think it was almost February before we got all the Christmas decorations put away. It seems we have been busy every weekend either at an event or two, or shopping and preparing for Alice.

that is right, we have finally parted with the Piece of Junk Honda. We actually got 77 interested people respond to the Craigslist post for this car. We sold it for $150 more than we asked. It was a crazy few days but we are glad to see it gone.
We have replaced it with a Nissan Xterra. Dusty is THRILLED to have a functioning car that is fun to drive, although it has been a bit of a shock at the gas pump! I guess that is my welcome to the Truck world.
We still have a couple more things to sell, and a few more pieces to rearrange before we are ready for Alice, but we are getting there.

The last day before the Fleming had to travel back to North Carolina, we gathered together for a family dinner at Mom & Dad Poe's. It was delicious and Grandma and Grandpa Woodward came too. It was a little tight in their cozy home, but we made it work. Here is family picture of all of us. It is a terrible picture, but the only one I have, and it has everyone in it.
On a side note, a Sleep Country truck came for a delivery for one of the neighbors, and tried to squeeze in between all the cars. They happened to hit our car in the process. It has been a battle working with them, but we finally got a check in the mail this week for the damages.

Visit with the Blakes
Near the end of the Fleming visit, most the men and Becky went skiing. The Blakes were in the process of moving to a new home, and Sam went skiing. I went down to help Melissa with all the kids and helped watch them while Melissa ran a few errands, took a load to the new house, and took Owen to his first soccer game. I also got some time to visit and enjoy the family.

Fleming Visit
Early in January, we were thrilled when Marcus made his safe return from Afghanistan. We are so happy that he could reunite with his family again after being gone for a year. After he returned, the family came over from the east coast for a visit and to be sealed as an eternal family.
This was a wonderful event, and we are so proud of them and happy for them. I am so glad they we could all join with them and witness the event.

New Years
New years eve this year was spend at the Quinton's home and we visited with April and Brett, Andrew and Virgina, and the rest of the Lybbert Family. We had a good time playing games, eating yummy food, and visiting.
On New years day, we went down to Longview to visit Annell and Andrew. They had just purchased a new home and it was a great place to gather. We all had a great time visiting (except for Bella who was terrified of Maverick). We thought it very interesting as she usually loves to play with other dogs and it was the first time she has shown fear. I will admit, I was a little afraid of him too. He is HUGE!, and still a puppy. She spent the whole day sitting on Dusty's nice and safe lap.
Virgina and Andrew came back with us that evening and spent the night. We had a great visit with them and were so glad we got to spend some time with them. We miss those we can't see very often and cherish the time we get to spend together.

I think the goal for this year is just to keep on the path of doing what I am supposed to, and enjoy life. New Callings
Towards the end of the year, Dusty received a new calling (assignment) at church. We were both very surprised at the call, and never ever would have put him there. Perhaps there must be some divine reason for it, but he was called to be the Ward Financial Clerk.
For someone whose extent of finances at home is using a Debit card, and managing our biweekly cash budget, we were very surprised. It was a bit stressful at first for him because he had to jump right in and get through tithing settlement which occurs at the end of every year.
It is getting a little better, but he is still learning how to fit it in to his schedule since he has to stay late after church every Sunday to manage the tithes and offerings.
I also got a new class this year. I was sad to leave my old primary class, but excited for the new one. My new class is CTR 5, so these are kids that are 5 turning 6 this year. The dymanics of the class are very different, and I am still getting the hang of what the kids need. I also have a number of boys in this class, which I find is very different than primarily girls.
We are both adjusting to the new assignments, but doing well so far.

Alice's Room
The week after Christmas, Becky, Mom, and Melissa offered to give our spare room a face lift. They worked hard and added bead board and paint. We have added a few more items including a crib, bookcases, and a chair. Here are a couple picture in progress and as soon as we move some more furniture out of the room, and get it cleaned up, I will show pictures of what we have so far.
I absolutely love it so far, and I am sure Alice will too. Thank you so much Becky, Mom, and Melissa for helping us get ready to bring her home.

Christmas
Yes, I know that this is super late. Like 3 holidays ago, but this is like my journal, so I will include what I want when I can.
Christmas was at our house this year with the Poe family. The past few years, while I worked at Deloitte, I typically had the week in between Christmas and New Years off due to Boeing shutting down; however, I now work for a company with a fiscal year end which happened to end on Christmas Day this year. Anyone in the accounting world would understand, but that for those who are not, that means that the week after year end, is very busy. So not only did I have to work, but it was pretty busy between Christmas and New Years. I knew this would happen, so I decided to take the week prior to Christmas off.
This was a great option because I needed the time to prepare the house for visitors and get all the shopping done I needed to finish. It worked out great, and we had the Jason Poe Family stay with us as well as Mom & Dad. Becky came into town and stayed with the Blakes, and they came up to join in the festivities.
We had a very traditional Poe Christmas and it was fabulous. My goal was for it to be a stark contrast to the last Christmas that was held at our house. (I spent much of Christmas day in the Emergency Room) and don't really remember much.
It was great to have kids at our house and seeing their joy in Christmas morning. Kaleb and especially Jaren were just adorable, and amazed at the gifts Santa brought them and each one they opened. I am very excited for the next few years when we can see our little girl experiencing the same joy and excitement.
Christmas eve was complete with a reenactment of the nativity (don't you love Jason as the Donkey), reading "Twas the night before Christmas," homemade icecream, and new jammies.
Christmas was just as eventful with delicious food, gifts, and lots of visiting.
