Instead, while I was starting to make breakfast, Alice brought us our camera so we could "fix it". The lens was no longer straight and it would not retract. The camera said "lens error". We googled and tried to manipulate it back together, and determined there was no easy fix. I got really upset, and then was determined to fix it. I thought, we just need to get to the lens part and get it on it's track.
All I have to say is, cameras are a lot more complicated than I thought. Even after tearing the whole thing apart, I still could not get the lens to retract. We now have to revert to our old camera until we can replace it. I am also determined that Alice will NEVER touch a camera again.
