My Baby is 1!

Yesterday, my baby turned 1 year old.  I can't believe how fast this year has gone by.  It is hard to remember how life was without her, and yet I feel like I was awaiting her arrival just yesterday.  We love our little Alice and am so grateful she is a apart of our family.

Her current stats are 18.8 lbs, 27.5 in tall, and head 43.5 cm.  Overall, I am guessing somewhere around the 10-15% in head and height, and 20% in weight.  She is still a chubby little baby with the cutest chubby cheeks.  We love to kiss her cheeks and she love to giggle when we do.

She is crawling all over the place and can pull to stand on anything, walls, furniture, people and pretty much anything that is vertical.  She loves to pull things out of bins and boxes, and is finally learning that she can put things in as well.  One of her favorite things is to help me with the laundry.  We have front loader machines and she takes the clothes out of the washer and puts them in the dryer, or on the floor so I can put them in the dryer.

She also loves to play in toilets and put things in them.  She has found toilet paper, and apparently it is super fun to unroll it :)

She still doesn't say much, but she does say Uh oh.  She also says lots of Mamamama, and dadadada, but I am not sure they are in context.

She loves to eat and pretty much eats what we do.  We just cut it up small, she she feeds herself.  She has decided that Bananas are now okay to eat, and I can't think of a single thing she won't eat.  She is still nursing, and we expect that to continue for a while.

She has 7 teeth, and number 8, the bottom left,  is on it way.  She is wearing size 9 month and 12 month clothes (12 more so because I am tired of the 9 month, not because she has grown out of them). She is still taking 2 naps a day when possible, but if she only gets one, it is not horrible.

She is getting more expressive and funny every day.  She loves peek-a-boo, and patty cake.  She also knows when she shouldn't do something and gives me a little "are you going to take this away before I eat it?"  I get this most of the time when she goes near the dog food.

We celebrated Alice's birthday by going up to Hood Canal and digging clams (hence this post is late).  We got a lot, and they are all cleaned and ready to be eaten.  I can't wait.  We also had a little party for her with some friends on Saturday and another little one with the Lybbert's on Sunday.  The final party will be this weekend, when she gets to share a party with cousin Elliana (1), Nigel (2), and Great Grandpa (85).  It should be filled with lots of fun.
